Funeral services for Don E. Magdefrau, 75, will be Tuesday, March 6, at the First Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Monday, March 5 from 4 to 7 pm at the First Lutheran Church. He died Friday evening March 2, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from complications of a massive stroke on December 15.
He was the ong-time publisher of the Belle Plaine Union.
The family prefers memorials to Belle Plaine Area Ambulance, First Lutheran Church, Iowa Newspaper Foundation, or a charity of choice.
