Three local deer hunters to receive Trophy Buck awards at Sportshow

Vicki Upah and Lonnie Upah, both of Toledo, and Terry Hinegardner, Montour, have been invited to receive the 2011 Trophy Buck Print Award at the 37th annual Eastern Iowa sportshow on March 10 or 11 at the INI-Dome in Cedar Falls.

The awards recognize trophy bucks taken in Iowa and registered with the Department of Natural Resources for the 2010-11 deer hunting season.

Vicki Upah harvested a deer in Tama County which scored 178 4/8 points in the Shotgun - Non-Typical category.

Lonnie Upah also harvested a deer in Tama County which scored 189 6/8 points in the Muzzleloader - Nontypical category.

Terry Hinegardner harvested a deer in Jasper county which scored 155 points in the Shotgun - typical category.

Trophy Buck awardees will receive a signed and serialized print by artist Greg Bordignon commemorating their Trophy Buck registered with the DNR. Bordignon is scheduled ot personally present the awards on Saturday and Sunday.

Nearly 175 Iowans harvested trophy bucks during the 2010-11 season.

The Sportshow is set for March 9-11 at the UNI-Dome. A wide range of hunting interests, fishing, resorts tourism and camping exhibits are featured.
