REINBECK - North Iowa Cedar League newcomer South Tama guaranteed itself at least a share of the West Division girls' basketball title with Tuesday's 77-60 victory at Gladbrook-Reinbeck.

The Class 3A No. 6-ranked Trojans (17-1, 11-1) scored their sixth win in a row behind three players reaching at least 18 points apiece. Madison Baier led STC with 20 points, 17 rebounds, seven assists and four blocked shots. Kaleigh Sieck poured in 19 points and Kendra Bradley added a season-high 18.

It marks the second straight league title for South Tama, which last year won the Little Hawkeye Conference on its way to its first 5-on-5 girls' state basketball tournament appearance.

Emily Snider netted a season-high 23 points, making five of the team's 11 3-pointers, to lead the Rebels (12-6, 7-5). Jenna Roeding added a season-best 18 points, while Addi Kickbush had 10. Emily Dinsdale led G-R with six rebounds.

The conference tilt marked the start of a four-game homestand to close out the regular season for Gladbrook-Reinbeck. The Rebels host Grundy Center on Thursday, East Marshall on Friday and GMG in non-conference play Saturday.

South Tama hosted AGWSR on Friday.
