On January 23, 2012, the Trojan 7th and 8th grade wrestlers battled in Dysart. South Tama found competition with Union, East Marshall and Don Bosco.

"These kids have come a long way. I have seen a lot of improvement from the beginning of the season. We have made huge strides and are closing the gap on kids that were dominating us earlier in the season. I am very proud of them," said Coach Steve Chyma.
