Leonard Robert Pugh, 71, Toledo, passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City with his wife and daughter at his side. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Toledo with Pastor Dale Bucich officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 5-7 p.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.

Leonard was born on April 28, 1940, in Toledo, the son of Floyd and Hazel (Gray) Pugh.

Leonard served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1966.

On Feb/ 14, 1976, he was united in marriage to Connie Miller Cronbaugh in Toledo. He worked for George Stein's Dodge Garage from 1968-1977 and 1984-1986 and from 1977-1984 at Twin City Ford. He also had his own business, Pugh Repair from 1986-1990. Leonard was a member of the Marshalltown Street Rodders, the Marshalltown Area Restorer's Club and the Cedar Rapids Regional Restorer's Club. He enjoyed restoring cars and loved the time he spent with his family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Connie, Toledo; his daughter, Kelly Hoerner, Toledo; three stepsons, Michael (Michelle) Cronbaugh, Coralville, Scott (Cindy Thomas) Cronbaugh, Newton, and Vincent Cronbaugh,Marshalltown; eight grandchildren, Ross Pugh, Felicia Hoerner, Karley Cronbaugh, Zachary, Dane, McKennan, and Noah Cronbaugh and Chance Cronbaugh; two great-grandchildren, Ariana Clinton and Aiden Pugh; two sisters, Marilyn (Ernie) Bain, Peoria, Ill., and Marjorie Wilson, Salem, Iowa; one brother, Richard (Beverly) Pugh.,Alden, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews..

A memorial fund has been established.
