Downtown Tama is getting another retail boost. Don and Mert Rank have transformed their building, the former Ben Franklin, into the 2nd Hand Store. It features 10 or more vendors in 6,000-plus feet of floor space at 200 W. 3rd St.

They are hosting an open house this Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. -3 p.m. with lunch at a special price from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

There will be "something for everyone" as the Ranks have signed up local and area persons who will have a wide variety of merchandise for sale.
