STC 7th Grade volleyball fights hard to defeat Oskaloosa

TOLEDO CHRONICLE- The 7th grade girls VB team hosted Oskaloosa on Monday, October 10th. Play began with the “C” squad. The girls went 15-10, 15-5 and 13-15 outserving the Indians. Nyana Ortiz led with 4 aces. The fourth game consisted of a mixture of STC girls who lost 11-15. The “B” team then took the court and won two of their three games with scores of 15-17, 15-5 and 15-6. Leading the Trojans with aces was Celia Roberts and Raena Lasley. The “A” team ended the night by winning their first game 15-10. In the second game the Trojans were up by 6 but then lost 10-15. However, they rallied back winning 15-3 with Serena Lowe serving up the first 13 points of the match. Keep up the great work girls! The Trojans travel to Newton on Monday, October 17th for their final game of the season.
