Landon Kyle Davenport, 27, Shawnee, Okla., died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, in Oklahoma City.

Landon was born Oct. 18, 1983, in Shawnee the son of Loren Davenport and Sherry (Byers).

He attended Bethel High School.

On June 9, 2007, he married Mallory Scheidt.

Landon was a member of the Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa, the Sac and Fox Tribe of Oklahoma and the Absentee Shawnee Tribe.

He had many enjoyments and hobbies including bowling, where he recently bowled a perfect 300 and was awarded a “300 Ring” by the U.S. Bowling Congress. He was an avid W.W.E. Pro Wrestling fan. He had an entire room dedicated to his wrestling memorabilia. He loved Texas Longhorn football, Kansas Jayhawk basketball and New York Yankee baseball. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. His son was his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Sharon Byers and Martin and Louise Davenport.

Survivors include his wife, Mallory Davenport of the home; son, Ryder Davenport of the home; mother, Sherry Byers and Marvin Smith of Bethel Acres; father, Loren and Fran Davenport of Loveland, Colo.; sister, Jordan Byers of Bethel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Toni Scheidt; and several aunts, uncles, other family and many, many friends.

Funeral service were Monday, Sept. 26, at New Hope Baptist Church. Tribal Rites were Monday evening at the Foreman residence. Burial was Tuesday morning at the Byers Family Cemetery.

Walker Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
