Jan will be coming in on Sept. 29 for a long weekend and leaving the following Sunday morning. An “open house” reunion is planned at BumbleBees on Saturday evening, Oct. 1.
Anyone wanting to visit with Jan is welcome to join them for an evening of conversation and laughter.
Jan will be in Chicago for meetings concerning Melanoma Cancer Research and fund-raising the following week.
Coincidentally this is the same type of cancer that Jeff Dolezal was diagnosed with two years ago.
Jan’s American “brother”, Jeff Dolezal, class of ’75, said Jan is a professor at a research university in Sweden and is married with three kids. “
We haven’t seen each other since we went over to visit in the summer of ’76 or ’77 so we’ve got a lot to catch up on. It’s quite a culture shock to take a 17-year-old boy from the heart of Stockholm and put him on a farm in the middle of Iowa - a world away. It will be interesting to hear what long term effects it had on his life.”
