Mark Elliott Eagle

Mark Elliott Eagle, 50, of Aberdeen, S.D. and formerly of Tama passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. Traditional graveside services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. at Morgan Cemetery on the Meskwaki Settlement in rural Tama with Mike Keahna as speaker. A traditional wake will be held Wednesday evening at the Fox Clan Ceremonial Building on the settlement.

Mark was born on May 19, 1961 in Aberdeen, the son of Sherman S. and Shirlene (Kapayou) Eagle.

He loved motorcycles and was an expert mechanic. Mark was very creative and was a great pen and ink artist. He loved animals and they loved him. Mark was a beloved brother who will be sorely missed.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Shirlene Eagle.

Survivors include one brother, Val Lussier, Tama; one sister, Elise Lussier, Lafayette, Colo.; aunts, Marjorie Mauskemo, Tama and Wanda Kapayou, Des Moines; as well as aunt and uncle, Sharon and Ernie Mauskemo, Tama.
