Dan Gene Rebik, Lawrence Kan., passed on Aug. 6,2011. He was born Nov. 18, 1956, to Rhonda (Turbett) and Lawrence Milo Rebik. A memorial service was held in Lawrence ,Kan. on Aug. 12.
Dan married Jean Fertig in 1979. Dan started his childhood on a farm south of Tama, started kindergarten at Garwin and finished grade and high school at Waterloo.
He received B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Northern Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence in 1980 and and his grandparents were Jean and Dan Turbett and Milo and Agnes Rebik who lived in Tama County
Dan is survived by his mother, Rhonda Rebik, Clifton, Colo., his sister of Plattsmouth, Neb. ,his wife, Jeanne and her two daughters and five grandchildren ,uncles, aunts and cousins.
