Kevin Plum, 52, Marshalltown, formerly of Tama, died July 20, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.
A private military burial rite will be conducted by the Veterans Administration and he will be laid to rest at the Iowa State Veterans Cemetery at Van Meter.
Memorials may be directed to a cause reflecting Kevin’s life such as Veteran’s needs. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home, Marsdhalltown is in charge of arrangements.
He was born on May 30th, 1959, the son of Marion Albert and Maxine LaRue (Spidler) Plum. He graduated from South Tama High School in 1976 and then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for six years. Upon his release, he was employed in the operations and management of the Diablo Nuclear Energy Plant for 18 years and returned to Iowa. Kevin was last employed by Poweshiek Rural Water and served as past-commander of the Tama American Legion.
He is survived by his borther, Gary in New Mexico, many cousins and many friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Ricahrd.
