They will give an illustrated presentation of their tour on Sunday July 31, at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Toledo. “
“We’ve done a lot of traveling,” Clair said, “but this was the most fantastic trip we’ve taken.” His wife, Verlee, agreed. To see the Temple Mount, old Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives, and the Garden of Gethsemane were the highlights.
Their presentation is sponsored by the Presbyterian Women of the Church and the community of the Tama-Toledo area is invited.
Hein said that to see Caesarea, the city that King Herod built, Mt. Cannel (Elijah and the prophets of Baal), Megiddo, Masada, the site of the Beatitudes, the feeding of the loaves and fishes, and the Sea of Galilee were remarkable. He even participated in an archeological dig after a visit to the Elah valley where the boy David gave Goliath a headache. Each will be featured in their presentation.
Refreshments will be served following the program. The public is invited.
