Karen was born on Feb. 23, 1948, in Belle Plaine to Joe and Edith Michal. She graduated from BGM High School.
On June 1, 1974, she was married to Marc McBride at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. She enjoyed collecting Blue Glass and spending time with her family.
Karne is survived by her husband, Marc; sons, Michael (Charley Ann Thompson) and Matthew McBride, brother, Norman Dvorak; sister, Betty Upah; and her grandchildren, Austin, Kaelyn and Caiden McBride.*
