Parents of the couple are David and Shirley Downs of Toledo and Randy and Mary Snider of Byron, Illinois. Grandparents of the groom are Betty Backen of Toledo and Clifford Downs of Montour.
The bride was attired in a white wedding dress and carried a bouquet of orange and pink tropical island flowers.
Jared and Mason Downs, sons of the groom, and Jackson Snider, son of the bride, were the attendants. Each carried a small treasure chest holding the rings. Family members of the bride and groom also dipped sand from the beach into a vase to unite the family as one. Guests also cast small pebbles into the ocean and made a wish for the newlyweds.
After an afternoon of swimming with the sea lions at Coral World, a reception for the couple was held aboard the Caribbean Princess. Thirty-eight guests attended the week-long Caribbean cruise and beachwedding.
A wedding reception for Brian and Sarah will be held on July 2, from 7- 11 p.m. at the John Ernest Vineyard and Winery east of Tama.
