Seek chefs, sponsors for annual C of C BBQ contest

TAMA NEWS-HERALD - The Annual Tama-Toledo Chamber of Commerce BBQ Cook-off is scheduled for Friday, July 8. The cook-off event will be held at the Toledo Courthouse Square in conjunction with the Farmers Market, Stoplight Festival and the Fireworks Display. Serving of visitors will begin at 6 p.m. until food runs out.

The BBQ Cook-off committee is currently seeking businesses to sponsor chefs.

This year the committee is asking each business supply their chef with the ingredients and supplies needed, including the grill, to serve approximately 300 people.

Any business willing to sponsor a chef but unable to enlist one or a business just wanting to sponsor, or a chef wanting to take part, the committee will try to find a match.

Please submit the name of the chef and business sponsor to Gery Hagerty or to the Chamber office by June 24.
