As a young lady, Karen loved ice skating, loved horses and always wanted one of her own. While attending Heritage Christian High school, she was on the cheerleading squad for two years and graduated with honors in 1989. She was the assistant director of the Pulaski County Quorum Court and worked under Mark Stodala at the Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
Karen was involved with the Sierra Club, enjoyed the outdoors and conservation, was on the Board of Parks and Beautification of Eureka Spring, AR and played a huge part in the Legislative Restriction of Commercial and Residential Encroachment around Pinnacle Mountain. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include her son Zachary Brawley, Conway, Ark.; her parents, Jeannie and Larry Phelps, Little Rock, Ark.; four aunts, Ellen Thom, Denver, Colo.; Judy Tedder (Richard), Tallahassee, Fla.; Linda Davidson, Dallas, Texas; and Charlene Hardcastle, Little Rock, AR; one uncle, Carroll Davison (Mechele) Oppelo, Ark.; six cousins, Brian Wingfield, Denver, Colo; Jason, James and Joshua Davidson all of Morrilton, Ark.; Mary Sue Hedrick (Mike) and Mark Hedrick all of Little Rock, Ark.; and Cindy Hedrick, North Little Rock, Ark.; numerous extended family and many friends that will love and miss her dearly.
