Marlyn Rae “Casey” Clark

Marlyn Rae “Casey” Clark of Brooklyn, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 peacefully at his home.

He was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Waterloo, son of Alvin Frank “Casey” and Mabel Fern London Clark. He married Darlius Reiners Sept. 2, 1957, in Waterloo.

He was employed by Fay Thompson Standard for awhile, was a Black Hawk County Reserve Sheriff for 13 years, and was employed by John Deere and Company for 28 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Waterloo and Tama, the NEI CB Club and the UAW Local #838.

He is survived by his wife of Brooklyn; one son, Samuel R. “Sumo” (Donna) Clark,Waterloo; three daughters, Deanna (Daniel) Holst, Rapid City, S.D., Shawn S. Craft, Waterloo; and Leanne (Garland) Inman. Waterloo; one sister, Donna Graves, Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous adopted children.

Casey was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, with an Eagle’s tribute prior to the service at the funeral home.
