Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald
tamatoledonews.com - Extension and 4-H program will again be hosting day camps this summer. Come and explore the outdoors at the exciting Mud, Muck and Other Wonderful Things day camp on June 6, 2011. We’ll search for insects and other small creatures found around us every day, make a bird feeder, learn about the food chain through fun games and learn where animals live. Plus there is always time for games!

Tama County Extension and 4-H program will also be hosting “Dig Those Dinosaurs” day camp on June 15, 2011. Youth are invited to join the fun and learn about the life and times of dinosaurs through crafts, games and other interactive experiences.

Camp is open to all youth having completed Kindergarten and Third grades during the 2010-2011 school year. Camp will be held at Tama Park.

The fun will begin at 9:00 a.m. and goes until 3:00 p.m. Cost is $15. Everyone is asked to bring a sack lunch, beverage and snacks will be provided.

Registration flyers were sent home through the school or can be picked up at the Tama County Extension Office. Registration form, medical release and $15 can be dropped off or mailed to Tama County Extension 203 W High Street in Toledo. For more information call 641-484-2703 or dthiesen@iastate.edu.

Deadline to register is one week prior to camp. Space is limited, so sign up early!
