Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell with Rev. Nick Adam, pastor of the church, officiating. Music will be provided by Marilyn Kriegel, organist and St. Mary’s Choir. Casket Bearers will be Jim Burnham, Jerry LaGrange, Brett Schafbuch, Gary Sevcik, Mark Sevcik, and Bernie Waterbeck. Honorary Bearers will be members of the Knights of Columbus. Interment will be held at the Victor Memorial Cemetery in Victor.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell beginning 2 p.m. on Wednesday and the family will be present at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. A vigil service will be at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Keith was born on April 24, 1964, in Marengo, Iowa, to Marvin and Mary Ann Keller. He was raised in Marengo and graduated from Marengo High School with the Class of 1983. He also completed two years of Computer Science and Technology at the Council Bluffs School for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired in 1989.
Keith was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grinnell, the Knights of Columbus, and the Cedar Rapids Association of the Deaf. He enjoyed spending time on his laptop computer, social and dining activities with his family, attending deaf association meetings and various television programs. Family and friends marveled at his great patience and kindness.
He is survived by his parents, Marvin and Mary Ann Keller of Grinnell; three brothers, Dwight Keller of Leawood, KS, Dean Keller of Toledo, and Norman Keller of Cedar Rapids, IA; three sisters, Terrie Schafbuch of Victor, IA, Betty Waterbeck of Toledo, and Janice Burnham of Williamsburg, IA; as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins.*
