STC hearing tonight (May 16) on early start for school year

tamatoledonews.com - The South Tama School Board will conduct a public hearing at 5:40 p.m. Monday, May 16, to hear comments on the board's request to the Director of the Department of Education to begin classes prior to the Sept. 1, 2011 start dater required by the Iowa Code. The hearinhg notice states " That starting date on or after September 1, 2011 will have a significant negative eudcational impact."

The STC Board will also conduct a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. on an amanedment ot the current budget.
