Dunning receives Governors Scholar recognition

TAMA NEWS-HERALD - STC senior Boston Dunning received the Iowa High School Athltic Association Governor’s Scholar Receognition award.

The award goes to seniors with the highest GPA’s in their school districts. Dunning also led the STC class of 2011 in ACT test scores.

AS recipient, Dunning was given the opportunity to honor his favorite/most influential teacher. That honor went to Emily Chyma.

“Mrs. Chyma has always made school fun for me,” said Dunning. “She has been so influential to me with good advice. She has been nearly like a second mother to me.”

KWWL’s Best of Class

Dunning was unable to attend the Governors Scholar Recognition ceremony as he was being honored a KWWL’s ‘Best of the Class’ ceremony.

This honor goes to valedictorians and top graduating seniors in the KWWL viewing area.
