New owners for The Little Shop

May 7, 2011
1st Person Report By Terri Williams
TOLEDO CHRONICLE - My husband, DaleWilliams and I are the new owners of “The Little Shop” We live on acreage north of Toledo.

Dale taught school at South Tama for 33 years and is retired. I was busy at home raising our 14 children. Most of our children are special needs children whom we adopted.

We have only six children left at home so I guess I have empty-nest syndrome and needed a new challenge. We Home School three of our children in the back room of the store.

The Home Schoolers are teenagers and learning how to run a small business has been very educational for them, and they are very helpful in the shop. Our two girls that are in college also help on week-ends.

Working together as a family has been a lot of fun.

The Little Shop is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m. - 6 p..m
