Purchased from Miguel Guzman, the self-service facility has been expanded to include two, large-capacity 60 lb. and four, 40-lb. washers. They supplement the existing three, 25-lb. washers and six top-load machines.
In addition, six new dryers have been added to go along with the eight existing units.
A new soft water system has been put in operation and the building features geo-thermal heating and air conditioning.
As an added feature, there is video surveillance system to assure safety for both customers and their laundry items. Tama Laundromat is open 24-hours-a-day.
The facility has already proven popular with the many downtown Tama residents and others living throughout the area.
