On Monday, May 2 , from 6 - 9 p.m., firefighters and emergency medical personnel will be on hand at the Toledo Fire Station to meet with people who are curious about joining the department.
Visitors are under no obligation to join.
For people who enjoy being where the action is, volunteering as a firefighter or emergency medical technician is a very rewarding way to test yourself while building relationships within the department and the community.
Anyone interested is welcome to come to the open house at the Toledo fire station on May 2. For more information, and for people who are interested but can not make it to the open house, call Curt Raue at 641-750-0778.
Positions are available in both fire and emergency medical positions. No experience is necessary - all training is provided.
Potential new members will be able to look at and learn about the equipment and apparatus used, as well as learn about the responsibilities and expectations of volunteer emergency service personnel in Toledo.
