“We ran very well against some tough teams,” said boys coach George Kuhter. On Monday at practice we started to see a good field coming together with the addition of three good teams in NU, BCLUW and Mason City. We ran a good meet and finishing second with some huge surprises in the long jump and in the 4 x 8. I have been saying, if you give us a chance, we can compete with anyone and only having 17 guys competing we will be competitive every time we get on the track!

With only three seniors, we are building a great team. I knew that our SHR was going to be good and baring something crazy, I think we are one of the top teams in the state. The 4x1, without Jeff, went fast and if we don’t lose it, I think that those seniors will go out with a bang. It will be fun to watch.

Spotlighting some fine performances, Dylan Kalinay is amazing, after he crashed in the hurdles and he got up and still finished scoring points. That kid is tough. Sam Kuhter’s 2 foot PR put him in the top 5 in the conference and amazingly enough, we ran faster in the 4 x 800. The 4 x 8 all ran season bests and are only going to go faster. I am very happy about these guys and the way that they are working and their focus.”
