Tama News-Herald - The much reported Iowa Premium Beef plans for the former Tama Pack may become even more clear tonight - Monday, April 4.
An "Iowa Premium Beef update" by Jeff Muchow leads off the agenda for the Tama City Council meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Counicl Chambers at the Tama Civic Center, 305 Siegel. Couyncil meetings are open to hte public.
News reports originating from The Waterloo Courier last Thursday identified Muchow as the head of Amber Capital which was reported in the process of reopening the closed packing house at Tama.
The Tama County Assessor's website reveals Amber Capital prucahsed seven parcels including the packing plant building from a Ceda Rapids bank on Oct, 22, 2010. Each pacel lists a $1 million sale price.
Attempts to reach Muchow by The News-Herald were unsuccessful late last week as were earlier attmepts to contact another person identifed as associated with Iowa Premium Beef and reported earlier in The News-Herald.
