Trojan wrestlers face strong opponents at AAU State Tournament

The Trojan Warrior Elite Wrestling Club had eight wrestlers compete in the AAU State Tournament at Wells Fargo in Des Moines on March 26 - 27, 2011. Wrestlers in grades third through eighth qualified for the state tournament by placing in the top four at their District meet. The eight districts then brought together the best 32 wrestlers in the state and awarded medals to the top eight in each weight class. The Trojans battled tough competition all tournament and fell short of bringing home a medal. Individual results were as follows: Division A 90 Tanner Walz (LBF 2:17, 6-5, 2-4), Division B 65 Tanner Probasco (LBF 0:39, WBF 1:13, 12-4, 2-4), Division B 80 Colton Vest (5-13, 4-0, 13-1, 3-5), Division B 90 Lansin Lacina (LBF 1:32, LBF 1:23), Division B 100 Jake Simon (LBF 0:46, WBDefault, 0-1), Division B 105 Kolbie Clark (LBF 1:23, LBF 2:30), Division C 85 Jaret Probasco (9-2, 0-4, LBF 3:35), Division C 130 Bailey Chyma (WBF 1:05, LBF 3:35, WBF 1:15, 0-3).
