Suspended sentence in bad check case

Before Judge Douglas S. Russell:

Aubrey Clifton Trail, 44, addresses of Falls City, Nebr. and Sioux Falls, S.D., pled guilty to a charge of 2nd degree theft. He was sentenced to a suspended five-year prison sentence and $750 fine and placed on unsupervised probation for two years.

Trail was also ordered to pay $1,560 restitution to Lekin Auction Company for a check written on a closed bank account.

Trail was arrested by Tama Police in Baldwin, Ala., on charges of 2nd degree theft and commission of specified unlawful act and brought baqck to Tama County. The charges were filed by Police Chief Dan Wilkens on July 31.
