Lacina and Donald exchange vows at Otter Creek

Kristen Lacina and Nathan Donald were united in marriage on September 18, 2010 at the Otter Creek Nature Center, officiated by Pastor Brian Oliver. A reception followed at the Reinig-Toledo Civic Center in Toledo.

Parents of the bride are Jim and Deb Lacina of Tama. Grandparents are Verna Lacina and Rich and Janet Kvidera, both of Toledo. Parents of the Groom are Bill and Lynette Donald of Canton, Minn. Grandmother is Mavis Fossum of Harmony, Minn.

The best man was the brother of the groom, Ryan Donald. Matron of honor was the friend of the bride and sister-in-law to the groom, Abby Donald. The bridesmaids were dressed in chocolate brown dresses, and the groomsmen wore tan suits with brown vests and ties. The bride carried white roses with green cushion and spider mums.

Kristen is a 2001 high school graduate of South Tama and a 2005 graduate of Iowa State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. Kristen is currently employed by The Principal Financial Group as a recordkeeping analyst in the Retirement and Investor Services division.

Nate is a 2003 high school graduate of Canton-Mabel and 2006 graduate of Vermillion Community College in Ely, Minn., where he received his Associate of Arts degree and played basketball. Nate is currently employed by Quality Traffic Control as a project manager.

The couple resides in Ankeny with their one-year old german shorthair, Lily.
