Appreciates Upahs' Chelsea work, To miss Veit

October 8, 2010
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald
Letter to the Editor:

On Behalf of the town of Chelsea, I would like to personally express appreciation to Tom and Janice Upah and their kids Matt and Kristin. Matt is doing a project for Eagle Scouts and he and family along with others have beautified the old Chelsea School yard. They have pulled weeds, painted all the equipment and done all of this voluntarily. It looks wonderful!

Also, Chelsea is going to truly miss Pat Veit, a wonderful kind hearted lady and our city clerk for over 30 years. It was my pleasure to serve on city council with her for 5 years. She has blessed this town with her kindness and strived to make Chelsea a great place to live. In remembrance there is a garden on main street in her name. Anyone wanting to plant a flower in that garden in her memory is welcome to do so. There is a rock engraved, a bench, and many flowers planted there in which some of those flowers were planted there by Pat. Pat loved planting flowers around Chelsea, and Jerry hated watering them. Thank you Pat and Jerry Veit for all your hard work you have done for the City of Chelsea.
