Bookclubs - Station Street Readers meeting at the Chelsea Library and Bookin’ With Sally meeting at the Tama Library are both held on Thursday evenings.
Both are free and anyone is welcome to join.
Two book clubs which are just starting are the Clutier Book Club meeting at the Clutier Library on Wednesday, September 29 at 5:30 P.M. and the Garwin Book Club at Garwin Library on Wednesday, October 6 at 6 P.M. These are organizational meetings and are free and open to any interested readers.
Two Remember When classes are scheduled - one in Clutier at the city halI on Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. and one about Chelsea being held at the Tama Library on Sept. 21 at 6:30 pm. Check the catalogue for tuition for each.
Antique appraisal will be on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tama Civic Center. It is $25 to have your items appraised and $10 if you only wish to observe. It is most important that you sign up now! The appraiser not come to Tama if we do not have a sufficient number signed up.
Gary Zmolek will be teaching a poetry class on Sept. 22 in room 805 in the Marshalltown Community College adult education wing beginning at 6 p.m. This will be a six session class with a tuition of $89.
Finally, if there is sufficient enrollment, Steve Kenkel will offer his wilIs and disability class at the Toledo Library on Thursday, Sept. 30, beginning at 7 p. m. Tuition is $11.
