September 12, 2010
By John Speer, Editor
TAMA NEWS-HERALD - Another heaping truck load of clothes has gone from the South Tama Community Clothes Closet in Tama to the Cheyenne River Reservation at Eagle Butte, S.D.

Clothes Closet volunteers loaded up the truck and it was again driven to South Dakota by Don Wacha, Tama.

The annual aid for the reservation was begun a number of years ago by the late Mary Ann Husak, rural Toledo. Her daughter, Colleen Donald worked as a counselor at Eagle Butte for a time which made Mary Ann aware of the needs there.

The Clothes Clothes Closet, 511 McClellan, provides reasonably-priced clothing and household wares. It is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

On Oct. 23, the Clothes Closet will host its annual free coat giveaway.
