Bowen-Hand engagement

Lauren Bowen, Christiansburg, Va., daughter of Eddie and Rhonda Bowen, Don and Kathy Duncan, both of Christiansburg, Va., is engaged to marry Matt Hand, Christiansburg, Va., son of Rick and Vicki Hand of Tama. Lauren is a 2000 graduate of Christiansburg High School. She attended Radford University, studying Criminal Justice. She is currently employed as a sales representative for Cailion Clinic Medicare Health Plan in Roanoke, Va.

Matt is a 1996 graduate of South Tama High School. He graduated from University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Leisure, and Physical Studies. He is employed as an orthotist at Lawson Medical in Virginia Beach, Va. A September 25, 2010 ceremony at Virginia Tech Duck Pond Amphitheater in Blacksburg, Va. is planned. Following the wedding the couple will take a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The couple will reside in Christiansburg, Va.
