Glenn Dauschmidt of Garwin will be the guest speaker. His topic will be “Barbed Wire”. He was responsible for the barbed wire display which has been in the museum for years, and which he has now updated.
Glenn was very active in Tama County 4-H, and, in about 1970, found a single strand square wire with barbs on it, and he was hooked. After many years of hunting old fences and dumps and trading with other collectors, he has accumulated three hundred fifty different patents, and has displays in six museums.
The public is invited to hear his stories as he shares examples from his unusual but very intriguing exhibit.
