King Tower owners buy Belle Plaine cafe

July 9, 2010
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald
TAMA NEWS-HERALD - Jimmy Limani and Kristy Tovar, owners of the King Tower Cafe in Tama, have purchased the Lincoln Cafe in downtown Belle Plaine.

The cafe is expected to undergo some remodeling before opening. Tovar said they are aiming for September to have the work completed.

The Lincoln Cafe was closed following the death of its owner, Curtis Bailey last fall.

Jessica Dayton, 20, a waitress at the cafe, was sentenced to life in prison for Bailey’s murder on June 28 after being convicted in a trial in Iowa county District court. Bailey’s girlfriend, Denise Frei, 44, and her son, Jacob Hilgendorf, 20, also face first-degree murder charges in the case.
