KCRG-TV9 Justin Gerhts presented a weather program and taught us about clouds and all types of precipitation. He also talked about flooding and reminded everyone not to go into flood waters. “Turn Around, Don’t Drown”.
After Justin’s program all the kids made sand bottles with colored sand, played a game of Beach Ball Bowling and had a snack of candy orange slices so no one would get scurvy.
Thursday’s program for preschoolers and Kindergarteners, was a wet day too.
We read three books –There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Trout, by Teri, Sloat; Over In The Ocean In The Coral Reef by Marianne Berkes; and Smiley Shark by Ruth Galloway. The rest of the program was the same as Tuesdays.
Attendance of Tuesday was 110, and on Thursday it was 35.
