TOLEDO CHRONICLE - The Toledo All-Class Reunion planning meeting began at 2 p.m., Monday, June 7, with Marlene Eernissee calling the meeting to order in The State Bank of Toledo Meeting Room with 26 graduates present.
Minutes of the previous months meeting were reviewed. A sound system for the Sunday morning church service is still needed. Also a DVD player that will continuously replay the disk being viewed is needed.
Marlene reported 310 registered as of June 9th (the date the article was written) with several more received at the meeting and with anticipation of more coming thru in the next few days. Of this number, 220 are graduates and 90 are guests.
The calendars are ready to print. However, they hoped for 18 months calendar had to be downsized to a 12 month coverage due to lack of sufficient advertisers. There will be a sign-up sheet for pictures which will be handled by the Mueckes. Ora Mae advises there will be a short patriotic music program with a sign-up sheet for anyone wishing to sing and a short practice will be held on Saturday.
The goodie bags will be filled on Thursday prior to the big event at 2:00 pm, and added help will be needed to do this. Also, a comment critique sheet will be included for each person to fill out to give the committee new ideas to work with. Name tags will be worked on, and decorating will be done at this time. Frank Adair and Earl McCreary will do the seating for the Saturday evening buffet.
On Sunday a free-wll collection will be taken up at the Church service with the proceeds going to the Tama County Ministerial Association.
A decision was made to have one more get-together prior to the big weekend on Monday June 21st at 2:00 pm in the State Bank of Toledo Community Room to wrap up any final last minute details. Meeting adjourned.
Remember that it is still not too late to get your reservation to Marlene. Seating with your particular class may not be possible at this late date, but your friends and classmates will still be on hand for you to see and visit with. Hope to see you there.
