The Relay for Life of Tama County will begin on Friday, June 11, at 6 p.m. at the South Tama H.S. track. In case of rain the event will move to the South Tama H.S. gymnasium.
Traer Mayor Pete Holden will welcome all guests. The guest speaker will be a research scientist working on cancer vaccines. The Survivors Lap begins the walking. The Luminaria Ceremony takes place at 9:00 p.m. with special events each hour all night long.
The Bounce House for kids of all ages, the lunch stand, and the Memory Wall will be available all evening. Luminaria and raffle tickets can be purchased as well. The Silent Auction runs 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
