There were nine sweet-smelling and scrumptious looking houses that were made out of gingerbread, graham crackers, and one that was made out of fabric.
The houses were on display at the library for all to enjoy.
The festive houses were voted on by library patrons and the grand prize winners of the contest were Joyce Bern and Lexi Dreesman. They each won a certificate to the Marshalltown Theatre.
The runner-up winners were Natalie Wesely, Mallory Thede, Roxanne Pushetonequa, Lupe Gudino, Luz Gudino, Viviana Gudino and Liz Bearden.
They each won a certificate to the Toledo Wieting Theatre.
The library congratulates all of the participants.
In addition to the contest, volunteer Janice Custer and library staff held a Gingerbread House program where everyone was given a graham cracker house to decorate and a gingerbread man to eat.
