TOLEDO CHRONICLE -“Writing Personal Recollections and Family Stories” program at historical museum Dennis Laverty, Marshalltown, will be the guest speaker at the next Tama County Historical and Genealogical Society meeting. It will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at the Tama County Museum in Toledo, and is open to the public. Mr. Laverty’s talk, “Writing Personal Recollections and Family Stories”, will include techniques and methods for getting this accomplished. He feels very strongly our experiences and memories need to be preserved for future generations, and has written and published his own stories. He enjoys being an historian and storyteller, and sharing his ideas with others. Please join us for an evening of fun motivation to getting started on your own important story.
