TOLEDO CHRONICLE - On Wednesday, Jan. 6, 11 very hardy and dedicated Toledo High School grads met at the State Bank of Toledo Meeting Room to further the planning for the All-Class Reunion to be held the weekend of July 2, 3 and 4. The reunion will be at the Toledo Reinig Community Center. The Reinig Center is completely handicapped accessible.
Those present were Joanne Yuska, Earlene Bacon, Marlene Eernisse, Bob and Virginia Benda, Betty and Marvin Lynch, Floriss and Frank Adair, and Earl and Evelyn McCreary.
Joanne Yuska presided over the meeting. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. It was determined that with the rent on the Reinig Center being raised to $700 for the two evenings along with the higher catering costs that the per person charge would have to be raised.
A motion was made and approved to set a $25 per person charge which would cover both Friday and Saturday evenings. Gloria’s will be providing numerous snacks for the Friday night get-together, as well as catering the Saturday evening buffet dinner, which will include two meats and a dessert.
Beverly Vesely has the tours lined up. The calendar pictures will be due in May. Joanne reported 102-year -old Hattie Cibula is the most senior graduate residing locally.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. on a very snowy evening. The next meeting is planned for Monday afternoon Feb. 1, at the State Bank of Toledo Meeting Room at 2 p.m. Please note the time change. and hope for better weather, and to see many of you there.
