TAMA NEWS-HERALD- Tama County Republicans mistakenly reported the wrong site for their Saturday, Jan. 23 cacuses for a number of precincts in the southern part of the county.Persons in Carlton, Columiba, Highland-Indian Village, Meskwaki Settlement, Richland-Salt Creek, Tama-Otter Creek-Toledo part - Toledo 1, 2, 3 and York should report to the TAMA CIVIC CENTER. Caucuses begin at 1 p.m. Locations remain the same for: Carroll, Oneida, Grant, Lincoln, Perry, E. Crystal, Buckingham, Spring Creek, W. Crystal- Traer Memorial Building, 414 2nd St. Clark, Geneseo - Dysart Community Building, 418 Main St. The Precinct caucuses will perform the following functions: A. Elect 2 persons, Republican residents of the precinct to serve on the County Central Committee B. Elect delegates and alternate delegates to the Tama County Republican Convention held on Saturday, March 6, 2010. The number of delegates to be elected at each caucus is listed above. C. Propose and vote on platform planks to send on to County Convention. Voter Registration forms will be available to register or to update your information prior to participating in the Caucus. |
