Lavern C. "Butch" Bidwell, 66, Tuecon, Ariz., died of natural causes on Nov. 20, 2009, at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy Lee (John) Kalmes, in Tuscon. Funeral services will be held on Nov. 30 at Eastlawn Mortuary, Tuscon. He was born on June 16, 1943, in Marshalltown, the son of Orie W. and Adeline I. (Lenning) Bidwell. He was raised in Toledo and moved to Tuscon in 1964. He worked with his dad at Louv-Aiers Sheet Metal for 23 years and then became a security guard for the mines until his health started to fail in 2006. He was preceded in death by his father, Orie, in 1995, and his mother, Adeline, in 1998. He never married. Survivors include his sister, Nancy Lee (John) Kalmes; niece, Robin (Bobby) Gauthier, Tuscon; nephew, Rory (Linda) Kales, Bellvue, Colo.; great nieces Chelsea (Andy) Baird and Tawny (KC) Skidmore; great-great niece Kylee Baird and great-great nephew Tevor Baird, all of Loveland, Colo.*
