Daniel Butterfield, 24, Toledo, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at his home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 16, at First Baptist Church, Reinbeck with Pastor Cal Turner officiating.

He was born on May 25, 1985, in Waterloo, the son of Virgil & Kristine (Barnes) Butterfield. He was raised in the Reinbeck area and attended Reinbeck schools, but later moved and graduated from South Tama High School in 2003. On Feb. 29, 2008, Dan married Petrice Painter. He worked as a bingo caller at Meskwaki Casino in Tama. He liked spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Wilbur and Fern Butterfield and maternal grandfather Kenneth Barnes.

He is survived by his wife Petrice; daughter Emma Hendricksen, Osceola; parents Vigil and Luann Butterfield, Waterloo, Kristine Butterfield and Craig Willaby, Tama; brother Matt Butterfield, Waterloo; step-sisters Kallie Willaby, and Jessica DeWater; maternal grandmother, Virginia Barnes, Reinbeck and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

French Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, is in charge of the arrangements.
