TOLEDO CHRONICLE- Wednesday evening, August 5th found 33 former Toledo High School Graduates meeting in the State Bank of Toledo Community Meeting Room to move along plans for the upcoming 65th all class reunion planned for the weekend of July 4th, 2010. Members representing all but five classes were present.
Minutes of the original organizational meeting were read and approved. The plans generally call for a get together quite similar to the highly successful 2000 and 2005 reunions, with a Friday night get together with refreshments and visiting, a catered banquet on Saturday evening, and an open air church service on Sunday morning. These activities will be in conjunction with other festivities planned in the community for that weekend. Much discussion followed with many fine ideas being presented for further consideration, and follow-up to come.
Of course this time we are working without the guidance of Herb Berry, the long time spark plug behind these reunions. The reunion booklets will be dedicated to his memory, and a short program in his honor will be a part of the Saturday evening festivities. Marlene Eernisse will compile this years booklets, so all information will need to be forwarded to her. She has also consented to be this years chairman.
The next meeting will be 6:30 pm Wednesday October 7th at the State Bank of Toledo Community Room with any and all former Toledo High School graduates urged to attend, and help to make this reunion the best one yet. See you there—-
