Before Judge Robert E. Sosalla:Leland Morgan, 48, rural Montour, pled guilty to assault causing injury. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with all but 20 days suspended and given credit for 20 days already served. Morgan was placed on self-supervised probation. He was charged on August 27 with knocking a person down with his fist breaking the person’s nose and kicking the person resulting in two broken ribs by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police officer Gary Dull. The incident occurred at rural Montour. Christine Jo White, 47, rural Tama, pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance, marijuana. She received a deferred judgement and was ordered to pay a $315 civil penalty. White was charged on July 8 by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bruce Rhoads. Guilty plea to 1st offense drunken driving: Allen Leeroy Schrader, 19, rural Tama, sentenced to two days in jail, to complete 12-hour Drinking Driver’s course, self-supervised probation. Charged July 12 on U.S. Highway 30 at M Avenue by Tama County Deputy Sheriff David Rangel. |
