TAMA NEWS-HERALD - Three male juveniles are being held at the Central Iowa Detention Center in Eldora after being apprehended in connection with break-ins at Miguel’s Store on East 5th Street and El Gallito Store on 3rd Street downtown.Tama Police Chief Dan Wilkens said his department was alerted by an alarm at Miguel’s Store at about 5:50 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13. A store surveillance camera caught the burglary on tape. Less than two hours later, police had suspects in custody and had recovered some of the stolen merchandise. Charges of two counts of 3rd degree burglary, possession of stolen property, 1st degree theft, possession of alcohol under legal age, possession of marijuana and public intoxication have been filed. Wilkens said some of the property stolen from Miguel’s Store is still missing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police., Further investigation of the cases continues.
