Loren Carl Woodworth

Loren Carl Woodworth , 74, Southwest City, Mo., was called to heaven at 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, at the Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark., following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug 19, at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Assembly of God Church in Noel, Mo. with Pastor Gary Duke officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Ark.

Loren began his journey on July 22, 1935 in Marshalltown, one of nine children born to the late Carl and Lois Louise (Raub) Woodworth. He lived most of his life in Tama, before moving to the Noel area twelve years ago. Loren worked as a carpenter most of his days and enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved and cherished time spent with his grandchildren, family and friends. Loren was of the Catholic faith.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents and one brother,Louallen Woodworth and one sister, Maxine Woodworth.

He is survived by his four children, Brian (Pam) Woodworth, Noel, Mo., Scott (Debbie) Woodworth, Anderson, Mo., Lory (Fred) Doran, Toledo, and Kerry (Brad) Taylor, Aurora, Ia.; Four brothers, Ron Woodworth, Sherman, Texas, Roger Woodworth, Florida; Harold Woodworth, Tama, and Kenny Woodworth, Wichita, Kan., two sisters ~ Ramona Kirkendall, San Antonio, Texas and Evelyn Border, Belle Plaine; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren along with several friends and neighbors that will dearly miss Loren and his kind ways.
