Free WiFi service available during Farmer’s Market

June 23, 2009
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Advanced Wireless Express, a locally owned High Speed Internet company will be providing high speed Internet service to the Courthouse Square area during the weekly Farmers Market on Fridays this summer.

Using a high tech solar powered trailer, the plan is to provide WiFi service to those wishing to take advantage of free access during the market. Any WiFi enabled laptop or other hand held device will be able to access the Internet while the trailer is in operation.

"This is part of our commitment to bring high tech services to Tama County," said Mike Gilchrist, Disruptive Technologist for the company. "I would like to see the weekly Farmers Market grow into something more. This is just our small part to help make that happen."

The Toledo Farmers market is open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, May to October.
